With these said, I'm not saying it's immoral to make opinions about both games on this forum, but really, people just won't stop making irrelevant arguments, which many is unwanted here, to the corresponding topics. In simple words, posting arguments about how World of Warcraft is a better game on a Guild Wars forum is more or less a flamebait.
|
And reversely, posting how much GW owns and WOW sucks is pretty much the same thing. Hypocritical? Yes.
And so what if you play both? Because last time I checked, you can like more than one game, even though all the above posters tend to give the illusion that it is not possible.
And really, since all these people want to talk about how much WOW sucks and GW owns, for once I would like to hear some legit reasoning as to why and how. Because so far, no one has ever been able to answer reasonably why GW is failing in terms of population vs. WOW.

I really don't see why anyone should be worried. It should be Anet who should be worried as it is competition with the very good pvp system, It is only Anet lossing potential customers not us. As someone said before it doesn't matter who did it first, it matters who did it best. I If you see anything from this, it would be on the positive side, this is competition on the pvp side for Anet, and really that is a good thing. Anet can learn from this and tweak up their pvp.
btw: I would like this confirmed, auto max level (level 20/level 70) for pvp I am pretty sure that this is a Anet idea,(I am talking about pvp and pve mmos, not just pvp ones.) .If Anet made the idea 'first' they can sue them if they really want to, though i doubt they will win fighting the finical giant blizzard not mention the fact games cpoies each other ideas anyway

If you are going to say "GW is superior" or "WoW is crap," you might as well have a valid reason.

I think GW is better. I reckon WoW is crap. Why? Because it doesn't appeal to me. I don't find personally that WoW is fun, whereas GW is. My valid reason = my opinion, and you can't prove that wrong.

thats why you saw many of those oldschool guilds leave and move on because the game changed so much with each campaign and addition of new classes/skills

Yeah! - We wouldn't want things to change! Making people think and evolve as players would be bad!

WoW is for serious PvE players aka no lifers
GW is for cheap people/weekend players
All the comparison you need.

If you're counting in bots, the same applies to GW. WoW still probably has about 10x GW's playerbase.

i.e. You're either lying or terribly misinformed.
The rest of your post I...can't really comment on. I don't want to get in more of a fight than I already am.

If you're a serious player (6+ hours/day) I'd wager you don't have much of a life.
Maybe it's just me

Reasons GW is better
1) Its NOT made by blizzard
2) The story is original (unlike wow)
3) Its FREE
4) You don't have to grind if you don't want to
5) Very nice Graphics
6) Most pve players are NOT "leet" 2 year olds
7) the pvp is balanced (well sorta) only important if you like that sort of thing.

1) Huh? How the heck is that relevant? Need I remind you that ArenaNet's founders came from Blizzard?
2) GW's story is original? Whaa? GW has four end-of-the-world plots.
3) GW is not "free." You still have to purchase all the campaigns/expansions to be competitive. Regardless, the monthly fee in WoW provides many advantages, such as GM support and an AH.
4) You don't have to grind in WoW if you don't want to either. Apparently you missed the memo on welfare epics.
5) GW's graphics are more realistic, yes, but not "better." Graphics is subjective, not objective. WoW, however, has much more varied design.
6) I've encountered mostly idiots in GW. (when I don't H/H). I've encountered very few in WoW.
7) The PvP is somewhat unbalanced in both games. However, WoW actually does a full-scale balance regularly...
Look up "objective" in the dictionary.

Do you mean that "PvP realms are temporary" or something? If that's so, then nope, they don't go away.

Having been hacked in Guild Wars after about a year and a half of playing, I decided to invest in WoW. I played WoW for about a year, and I must admit that was the most God forsakenly boring game I ever played. OHELLO I shall grind to level sixty(seventy wasn't released until right around the time I quit), begin to PvP, and find my character to be unbalanced. Therefore, I grind another character to sixty and HOLY ASSRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOINGLY unbalanced because Blizzard tried to balance other classes with a recent patch.
Oh and for whomever claimed that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery:
Imitation is suicide, Ralph Waldo Emerson.
